Pteris blumeana variegata

This truly amazing fern is a natural variegation--the regular form has deep green leaves. The typical lacy green leaves are speckled with silvery band down to the center. The new growth are in stunning purple with silver stripes along the vein lines and tips. Can grow to approx. 2 ft.

It is somewhat a low growing fern and seems resentful of fluctuations on wide cultural swings...Challenge but worth to grow! Does best in very good drainage, relatively high humid under partial shade. Limited supply!

Pteris grevilleana var. Ornata
$20.00

Another really pretty Vietnamese limestone region fern, with radiating white markings over emerald green fronds. It stays low (4"-5") and forms a tight clump via short horizontally creeping rhizome.

It has responded very well to terrarium-types culture. Additionally, we incorporate a percentage of limestone chippings into the coarse growing mix. This promotes growth and leaf color.

Pteris sp. Thailand (A)
$20.00

This cool fern is said to be from karst limestone of Peninsular Malaysia. Stunning with deep green fronds tinted metallic silver radiating from the center. It stays 4-5" tall, but occasionally the spore-bearing fronds rise 7"-8" above.

It probably prefers terrarium-like conditions, or other humid and warm settings. Give the right conditions, the leaf color is really incredible!
