The original "Crested Majus" imported from Aurtralian nurseries a couple of years ago and had been out of production a while. Unlike the Crested Majus Roseum that is fairly compact, this one bears large graceful fronds bearing loosened, irregular crested pinnaes. Despite non-colorful new growth, this fern can form 2 ft. tall and 3 ft. wide clump in few years...well-grown plants are spectacular!
It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually just 10% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Trimming old, yellow fronds frequently promotes production of new growth.
Offered are starter plants, established in 4" pot
