Another vigorous Chinese karst-limestone endemic specie, with kidney shaped foliage whose color varies considerably as they emerge; begins mahogany red tinted with pronounced white marginal hairs before eventually change into olive green. Tight and slow grower.
It is a lover of high humidity and hence will make a great non-invasive addition to a terrarium or as a terrarium specimen alone. Adding 10% by volume of limestone chips in to the potting mix promotes growth and leaf color.
