Wonderful wooden Gesneriad from Borneo just brought into cultivation. It forms a small shrub, with stiff foliage, each having distinct green striped through the silver variegation. Cluster of cream tubular flowers emerge from red-brown hairy calyxs, occurring on the lower trunk.
It is a fairly large gesneriad produces new growth from the base. This means if you have "killed" the plant, do not toss the pot--it may yet resprout! It responses well as a not-too-wet terrarium specimen but needs good light to do well. As such, it also may be grown as a stunning accent in a warm humid greenhouse.
Offered are starter plants, established in 4" pot
