Drynaria quercifolia "Cristata 2"

$35.00

New selected sport of Drynaria quercifolia. Surprisingly this form is fairly compact. The fronds grow to just 1 ft. long with large crests and congested segments. Because of the size, shape and delicated fronds, this type can be a botanical masterpiece when well care.

It share very similar culture with the Quercifolia; perform well both in pot and mounted on a tree-fern plaque. Particularly for this form, need higher light level and regular prunning the old fronds as the fronds always shaded each other, making the new growth not fully developed. This species is a seasonal plant that rest (leafless) from early January to early May. During the dormancy, it needs less water (just enough to keep media around roots moist).

Offered are divisions, established in 6" pot
