Drynaria sp. Laos (E)

$30.00

Obtained this magnificent species from highlands of Central Laos, growing as lithophyt on mossy rock near stream. The black stalks, glossy and leathery fronds with crocodile texture caught our sights at the time visitting. After cultivating for few years, we found it is also a compact grower the fronds never been over 10”. Tiny sori scatter on the back and this reminds us something related to Drynaria bonii, possibly a new species, or a natural hybrid with other species also found in this area

It performs well under light shade, in very coarse, porous media. Best for basket or mounted on tree-fern plaques. This species may rest (leafless) if the humidity drops below 50%, usually from January-April.

Offered are divisions, established in 4" pot
