Rare and unusual species. Elatostema salvinioides natives to China, characterized by appropriate scale of congested segment leaves on cascading stem. During wet season (June to September), foliage stretches up to 6'' and the cluster of white flowers emerge from the leaf axils along the stem...very incredible! Later of the growing season each stem forms new plants at base, tending to be a small clump.
In our cultivation they seem to do best when mounted on a slab of tree-fern with high quality sphagnum. As it is restricted to karst limestone, mixing 10% by volume of limestone powder with sphagnum is beneficial. Need very good air movement to grow well.
Offered are multiple grown plants, established in 3" pot.
