Ophioglossum pendulum is an interesting primitive fern, growing associated with the roots of Platycerium ferns. This offer should be considered as the common type, with 3/4" across fronds that can reach over 4 ft. when well care. The fronds rise from very short stout rhizomes roots nestle in the shallow of Staghorn Fern roots. The stunning sori capsules elongated from the mature leaves.
Similar to other species of the genus, it is a challenge and low growing fern. Need perfect air movement and sensitive to wide cultural swings. In case of no Platycerium roots, it performs well by using high quality sphagnum covers the root balls and then mounted on a tree-fern or wooden plaque, or upside-down potting culture like growing other tassel ferns.
Offered are mature plants, established in 6" pot (2-3 ft. long fronds)
