The most decorative species of the genus natives to Southern Japan down to China, Taiwan and Vietnam. Our selection cloned from a type specimen collected in Northern Vietnam. Besides highly textured foliage, the shiny fronds are in nice iridescent blue color when grown in suitable conditions. The slender fertile fronds rise above the regular fronds, filling with black spore underside.
It has responded well to terrarium culture, particularly swamp conditions (demand low light and lots of water once established). Also a low growing, neither invasive nor rampant. Be sure they will not overwhlemed the limited growing space. This species, particularly, is a bit touchy and sensitive to wide cultural swings.
Offered are mature plants, established in 4" pot
