Wonderful large species, possibly Pyrrhobryum spiniforme from upper parts of Peninsular Malaysia, characterized by feathery, dark green and glossy, plastic-liked pinnae, which can grow to 2” long. They form dense clumps and in suitable conditions, lots of long spore-bearing capsules rise above the clumps, creating beautiful look with raindrops.
This moss performs well under light shade. Spread fast on acidic materials such as rotting logs, wooded ravines and peat-based potting mix.
